Meet Brian.

Brian Ayers, LPCC-S

I received my Master Degree in Pastoral Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. I use a strength based; person centered approach in a collaborative manner to assist my clients to see HOPE as they face challenges in life. I have worked as a counselor for over 20 years in a variety of settings. These include outpatient community mental health, crisis services, corporate/workplace settings, and owning and operating a private Christian counseling practice. I also have experience in training law enforcement on how to better assist individuals in a mental health crisis.

My therapeutic approach is person centered and I meet clients where they are in life and provide support and counseling to help effectively address personal challenges. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Exercise Science and aspire to educate people on how the use of exercise in the counseling process can positively impact their mental health.

RI work with my clients in a collaborative approach to allow them to leave each session seeing that they have been heard and validated and that there is HOPE in their journey. I encourage open and honest communication and emphasize that the client is the expert on themselves.

My Fun Side

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and three daughters as well as my father (retired Lt. Colonel) who has one of the largest personal military collections in the state of Ohio.  I also enjoy exercise and look forward to getting into bike riding.  I also enjoy building and fixing anything around the house.
