Anthony Saracina, LPCC

Hello. I would so welcome the opportunity to join you in your therapy experience. I will seek to create a safe and empathic place for you to address those concerns that matter most to you.

MY TRAINING AND APPROACH

My bachelor's degree is in Biblical Studies. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and I am an independently licensed professional clinical counselor. For the past thirty-seven years I have worked in a variety of mental health settings – including preschool Head Start programs, residential court-involved adolescents, residential gifted high school students, intensive outpatient adult chemical dependency treatment, adult and geriatric outpatient individual and family counseling.

I am certified in trauma informed care, and I am currently pursuing a depression and mood certification program. Counselors, like clients, should continue a growth process. My philosophy is client-centered, and my approach is to begin where the client is and to pursue those client goals that bring the deepest satisfaction in their relationship with themselves and those they love. I also welcome clients who are interested in pursuing a Christian-based approach to counseling.

My Fun Side

For my self-care, I enjoy the outdoors. During the warmer months, I’m busy in my garden with tomatoes for homemade spaghetti sauce and my red raspberry patch for freezer jam. Additionally, my wife and I enjoy the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. During the fall and winter months, I venture out into my friend’s chestnut farm to occasionally secure venison for my freezer.

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY

I had the privilege to work with a young man just discharged from residential treatment. He went on to become a marine. I later received a text from him – “I really appreciate you helping me. The time we spent during the sessions was brief, but I really do appreciate what you’ve done for me. You helped me become the person I am today.”
