VA Community Care
Supporting Veterans Through Community-Based Care
VA Community Care can connect eligible veterans with mental health services from community providers.
The VA Community Care Network allows eligible veterans to receive health care from approved community providers when certain VA requirements are met. For mental health care, this can provide veterans with access to counseling and other services outside of a VA medical facility when authorized by the VA.
Freedom Fighters Therapy works with veterans receiving authorized care through VA Community Care. Depending on individual needs and the services authorized, therapy may address concerns such as PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, and adjustment to civilian life.

Community Care can include mental health services, giving eligible veterans another way to access counseling and treatment outside of a VA medical facility.
Veterans generally need VA authorization before receiving covered services from a community provider. The VA determines eligibility and authorizes the type and duration of care. Once care is authorized, veterans can work with an approved community provider to receive the services included in their referral or authorization.
